HIMSS Europe GmbH (referred to below as "HE") is committed to protecting your personal data, and strictly complies with the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act and with other legislation governing data protection. Personal data is information that can be used to determine your identify (for example, your name, telephone number or e-mail address). It does not include information that cannot be used to directly determine your identity or data relating to legal entities. Personal data is only collected on this website if it is required for the purposes specified below. The following Privacy Statement provides an overview of the ways in which we protect your privacy and of which types of data are collected for which purposes.
1. Information collected by HE
HE only collects and processes personal information about you that is provided to us by you when you register to use services that require registration on bjhc.co.uk, when you provide us with data, or when you contact HE to receive information. You are not required to provide any personal information to browse the bjhc.co.uk website.
2. How HE uses information about users of bjhc.co.uk
To the extent that the HE website allows you to enter personal or commercial data (e-mail addresses, names, addresses, contact information), this data is never recorded without your prior express consent. The homepage also clearly indicates that your consent is required. This data is treated confidentially. This data is never linked to your access data. HE processes your registration data in order to be able to inform you of new offers, products and services from HE that may be of interest to you, to help HE to improve its services, and to enhance the products and services provided to you on the bjhc.co.uk website and tailor them to your personal needs. HE also processes personal information in our accounting and invoicing systems.
Your information may be processed by third parties in certain cases if these third parties are contractually bound to HE for the purposes of fulfilling HE's agreements with you. Your data may also be stored and analyzed on the servers of an HE parent company or affiliate in states outside of the European Union. Should the accepted privacy standards in the state in question not be on a par with those within the European Union, HE will ensure, by means of contractual arrangements, that your privacy and personal data will be protected in a proper and adequate manner.
3. Collection and processing of non-personal data: log files
Each time the site is accessed, access data is stored in a log file known as the server log. The data that is stored includes the following:
your IP address (which identifies your computer)
the remote host (the name and IP address of the computer requesting connection to a specific site)
the time, status, volume of data transferred and the website from which you linked to the requested site (the "referrer")
information about the browser used and the browser version (user agent)
The HIMSS website uses the standardized "combined" log-file format of the Apache web server for this purpose. This log data is anonymized for statistical purposes. As a result, it cannot be linked directly to you. HE uses this data to determine the times at which the offers available on bjhc.co.uk are accessed most frequently and to calculate the volume of data generated on the bjhc.co.uk website. The log files also serve to improve the service offering of the bjhc.co.uk website, as they enable better detection and localization of potential errors on the website. The page views stored in the server log are not linked to individual users.
In order to protect the bjhc.co.uk website and its users and to guarantee the security of user data on the bjhc.co.uk website, HE is entitled to check the last known IP address of users if HE has reason to suspect that their use of the bjhc.co.uk website is in breach of legislation or of contractual agreements.
Data is always deleted following processing.
4. Passing on information about users of the bjhc.co.uk website
Data and information from providers and manufacturers of IT products and/or services that is collected by HE as part of its services or is passed on to HE by users for this purpose is, in particular, also intended for the purpose of sale and purchase. This data may therefore also be purchased by other users. This data is not personal data.
HE is committed to protecting your information. HE takes technical and organizational security precautions to protect the personal data HE has recorded about you against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, damage and against access by unauthorized persons. These security precautions are improved on an ongoing basis as the technology progresses. However, HE cannot guarantee the complete security of data transmitted via the Internet. HE is therefore unable to provide assurances or guarantees of the security of information that you send to HE during its transmission. This information is sent at your own risk.
8. Third-party providers
HE's online offering contains links to other websites. However, HE has no control over the degree to which the operators of other websites comply with data privacy regulations.

You are entitled at any time to request information about the personal data that HE has stored about you, its origin and the users to whom it has been passed on, as well as about the purposes for which the data is processed. To request information about the data that has been stored, please contact HE at:
