'Analytics is more actionable in healthcare,' says Director of Data Science at NHS Digital

The Director of Data Science at NHS Digital, Daniel Ray, tells HIMSS TV that analytics are now more actionable than ever before, as we move towards more integrated care delivery.

The director at NHS Digital insists that analytics have more use today than ever before, but that IT directors must make sure they have their 'bread and butter right' by ensuring the key services are being delivered well, which reinforces the view held by Dr Simon Eccles, Chief Clinical Information Officer for Health and Care in England, who urged leaders to not get 'distracted by shiny new things' earlier this year.

Find out what Ray thinks about the prospective implementation of machine learning and artificial intelligence in the NHS in a HIMSS TV interview from UK e-Health Week with Richard Corbridge, Chief Digital and Information Officer, Leeds Teaching Hospitals, and member of the HIMSS UK advisory board.
